Makita 6914d battery elements

Hello,
I have Makita 6914d with 2 dead aku's. ( charger : DC1414T 220-240v 60W 50-60Hz 7.2-14V 2.6A )
Aku has sticker: 2.6Ah 12V

I opened one aku . there is 10 aku elements. So each element is 1.2V ? how much ampers i need to have per element ?
I want to replace this elements. Please tell me the best choice fitting my charger specs.

You need 2600mAh NiMh elements.

??please tell me if that elements can blow ? someone toled me they are explosive when heated ...

i ment when soldering a wire to s bsttery it may blow ?

Yea, u may succeed on that. But if you doubt, thay can do the work for u. If i remember correctly, some elements they only sell with service.
